HELP WANTED:
The Center needs volunteer drivers for our medical transportation service. By occasionally donating a few hours of your time, you can help someone obtain needed medical care.
Volunteers drive the Center's car for "local" appointments in the Niles-Buchanan and/or South Bend area. You can drive as much or as little as you want! You will meet some great people who appreciate your help!
If you have more time to offer? Volunteers are also needed to drive the VA van to Battle Creek for medical appointment. The van leaves early in the morning and picks up additional passengers in Cassopolis and Three Rivers. The driver must wait at the VA hospital campus until all passenger are ready to return. Training is required.

If you need transportation for a medical appointment in the NIles -Buchanan-South Bend area, please call the Center as much in advance of the appointment as possible. The schedule and volunteers need to be set up 24-48 hours in advance so it is impossible to accommodate same day requests.

Transportation to the Veteran's Hospital and clinic in Battle Creek is available. Appointments should be scheduled on Tuesday or Thursday and as early in the day as possible. The Van leaves Niles at 6:30 a.m. and returns when all Vets have been seen in Battle Creek.
